Copse, 2010

Nuit Blanche Public Art Installation, Toronto
Completed with Subject to Change Design Collective

The project recycled cardboard print tubes in a geometric urban copse, transforming a parking lot and trash area in downtown Toronto. From dusk till dawn, hundreds of night-wanderers ventured down the hidden alleyway and entered a secluded forest of cardboard tree structures. Sound responsive lights pixelated fabric “leaves” on the canopy. Light movements responded directly to the audio levels of the public creating varying moods depending on public engagement.
