Soft Catalog
Completed with IT House Inc, 2025
Developed 6-designs using wall and roof panels for a catalog created as a resource for residents of Altadena who lost their homes in the Los Angeles wildfires of 2025 and were facing complex rebuild challenges including low insurance payouts in a unusually inflated economy, tariffs, and local housing crisis.
The designs were intended to reduce the structure and envelope systems to their essential qualities while integrating passive house strategies and fire-resilient details and materials. By offering the designs as catalog homes, community members could leverage their power to help drive down overall project costs.
“After disasters like the Los Angeles wildfires one of the best ways for architects to help is by designing prototypes.” - Dana Cuff
